So I eventually got round to it. A blog that is. I know you think that me and Sue have an easy life here, sitting in our log cabin watching the deer graze by our tipis and the squirrels scrapping with the crows. But we've got work to do as well.
Managing the best campsite in England and delivering our little bushcraft courses to excited children and motivated adults keeps us very busy.
After this initial waffle to get me going, its my intention to blog about once a week to report the latest in our wildlife watching and tracking, our bushcraft experiences and where we are up to with the new and exciting plants that keep bewildering us northerners.
For instance I was absolutely determined to re learn all the useful plants and flowers as they emerged from winter. But right from the beginning I couldn't get used to everything appearing nearly two months in advance of our native Saddleworth, and by the time we got to Easter, the three new plants a day that appeared were too much to keep up with. Still great fun though. And lots to learn and discover, even for an old hand like me.
So, please feel free to comment or even ask me a real bushcraft poser to test me out
bye for now
