Hi Graeme,
Just a quick email to thank everyone at Biblins for helping ensure another
very successful Year 8 Camp.
As I mentioned previously, the Bush Craft activity that Steve and yourself ran
was one of the weeks highlights. All the pupils involved were very positive
about the activity
, and when I came to watch I was particularly impressed with
your ability to engaged and inspire the children involved. The activity seemed
to have a good balance of learning, activity and risk to ensure all pupils had
a good experience, and your explanation as to why girls are better at building
shelters than boys was both enlightening and hilarious...
We are planning to repeat camp next year from Monday 9th July to Friday 13th
(!) July. If you could pencil us in and I will send a completed booking form
this week!
Thanks again and see you all in 2012

Hello Graeme
I just wanted to thank you and Steve for the course. It was well planned and delivered, appropriate to delivery with good theory and background knowledge. The venue was perfect and provided ample resources for the course. I have made loads of notes which I now need to follow up on. I also wanted to say how generous you were with kits to be used- I realise you run with students so you have lots available but the IOL docs suggested we needed more than anyone of use brought, so thankyou for this, it really made me feel at ease being a novice in this field. I had a great course.

I engaged Graeme Wardle as an independent training provider initially as a result of his background working with Groundwork, in order to deliver a 'horticulture' block of training as part of a Key Stage 4 Alternative Curriculum programme I set up and offered to local schools. The programme was primarily aimed at disaffected, disengaged and demotivated young people, with a view to re-enthusing them with some basic aspects of practical learning in order to address potential NEET (not in education, employment or training) outcomes.
The course that Graeme offered was extremely successful, and over time was adapted more and more to include aspects and elements of his bushcraft expertise.
I latterly engaged Graeme specifically to deliver a bushcraft programme for children based at my primary provision, and again the experiences they had were excellent and exactly what we required.
Graeme has a great rapport with both young people and with adults; is a mine of useful and practical information and advice and delivers high quality outdoor experiences tailored to meet the needs of each group.
That he has moved so far away is our loss, but other people's gain! I recommend Graeme and his team to you unreservedly, and can only hope that one day we might have a group that we can take to the new facility at the Forest of Dean!

Graeme has been providing the year 9 pupils at Millfield School with Bushcraft training for the last 2 years. This has proven to be of great value to the children concerned. They have worked safely together in small groups to learn the skills of fire-lighting and shelter building. This has helped develop their personal confidence and team working skills. Additionally, they now have a better understanding of the safety considerations of working with knives and fire. Graeme’s manner and knowledge immediately grasped the attention of the pupils whilst their enjoyment was clear to all. Following our year 9 camps we hold a comprehensive review of the value of the event. Graeme’s activity has provided almost 400 pupils with an insight into survival training but more importantly from the schools viewpoint this has improved their ability to communicate and work together. We are highly impressed with the activity that has been provided for us. Yours Sincerely
