Just back from the Wilderness Gathering in Wiltshire. If you have never been then you must try it next year. You will be hooked.
Its difficult to describe in terms other than whacky.
You will never see anywhere where so many backwoods dressed anoraks parade around with their sharp bits hanging out like tribal gourds, all beards leather hats and tattoos and everything is alright. Its safe, its happy.
Aside from the propensity for men to boast their skills or wax lyrical over the benefits of D1 over D2 the whole event is totally family oriented and a joy.
Anyway. the new or rather proposed knife was very well greeted. Some well respected knife makers and bushcraft specialists had great things to say, so the dilemma worsens, should we or shouldn't we. If we go ahead it will mean a complete change for us and our website. At the moment and for the twelve years we have had a website, we have only ever sold ourselves and our courses. If we go ahead and the knife comes in at the price and quality we expect then justifying a new bushcraft knife to your partner will suddenly get a whole lot easier.
